Tonight is our last show. We are playing with The GZA from Wu Tang Clan. I have been screaming ever since I found out. Such a HUGE fan of GZA. Because of him and The Wu, I like hip hop. I discovered them when I was living in a trailor park in Florida and they were the first hip-hop act that made me go, "yeah...I get it, I get it... yeah.... I LIKE it I LIKE it." As soon as we drove into stubbs, I heard him soundchecking and ran towards the stage leaving all my gear in the street. Luckily, everyone here is super honest and there is no real problem with stealing gear. We're all struggling here together at SXSW.

And later tonight, I'll be struggling to keep myself from screaming and crying ever time I see GZA.

SXSW Blog 4

Our showcase last night was a hit. We were the last act of the event so everyone there was loosened up and ready to P-A-R-T-Y!
Tons of people were on the floor boogying for us and with us.... I sweat my balls off shaking it ( if only I had balls...er...).

The other M for Montreal bands totally moved me. I fell in love with Torngat again. They make me melt. I heard Plants and Animals for the first time and fell in love too. And, of course, Krief was amazing as usual.

After our show, we partied it up by the pool with a bunch of wild musicians from around the world. It was a crazy time -- Creature, Plants and Animals, The Slits (an amazing UK all-girl punk group from the 70s), Krief, Frightened Rabbits (from Scotland), The Secret City gang, and a couple of random drunken strangers gathered around the courtyard of the hotel from 4am to 6am. We drank and partied by the pool then went swimming. It was an amazingly shameful and hilariously fun time.

Today's mission was to find, me, Cowbella, a really, really ridiculously sexy pair of cowboy boots to go with her cute little boy-scout outfit (of which Gina has one to match -- HOT!!!)
Unfortunately, CowBella is a musician so she is brokee; definitely not a millionaire nor is she married to one and the cowboy boots she was into go for about 399$ to 699$.
Outcome: She sold her body for a pair of boots. No, just kidding...she beat up a street musician, stole his boots and kicked him with them while he was on the ground.
And they were worth it.

We had our second show and it was a m*therf*cking hit!!!!!!! What a party.
It was outside on a rooftop with tons of hot, texan, blonde girls bopping to our tunes and gorgeous male musicians drinking their faces off to us.

Gina was super super super excited because a dude from Bass Player Magazine loved us and was into her playing!!!!! It's her favorite bass zine in the world. She actually recognized him from his picture and now HER picture is going to be on their website. Go Gina!!!!!!!

I personally can't wait to be on the cover of Cowbell Magazine, that'll be the day MY dream comes true.

Tonight is our most important show. We are off to flyer our asses off but I think lots of people are coming already.
