The Kerrang! Awards are here again! The awards will be held at a secret location on August 3rd, 2009. Kerrang! is giving their readers the chance to tell them what rocked their world in 2009. Head tot awards.kerrang.com and register to nominate Avenged Sevenfold, there are several categories the guys could be nominated for, and hopefully take home an armful of K! Awards!
The categories are as follows:

And as a bonus, everyone over the age of 18 who votes is entered into the draw to win a pair of VIP tickets to the awards! The winner will be chosen at random and notified by phone on July 24. Travel and accommodation is not included in the prize, so the winner must be able to provide their own transport to and from London. Entry closes July 20.

Avenged Sevenfold's CD/DVD "Live In The LBC & Diamonds In The Rough" has been officially certified platinum by the RIAA, meaning it has sold over 100,000 copies. The release was already certified Video Gold on November 4th, 2008. Although it's not up on the website of the RIAA yet, deathbatnews.com provided us all a picture of the platinum record.

ALMOST EASY" TO APPEAR ON TRANSFORMERS SOUNDTRACK

"Almost Easy" was originally scheduled to be on the first Transformers movie, but somehow that didn't happen. However, it looks like the guys made it on another Transformers soundtrack now anyways, because the song will be featured in the Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen movie. The soundtrack will be available starting June 23rd.

Hey guys,
A little while back our dear friend Brandon lost his life to cancer. While he was battling cancer he started a foundation called "Fuck Cancer." Fuck Cancer was a non profit organization created to to help cancer patients who cannot afford their hospital bills and all the financial stress that comes along with the disease. After Brandon passed away, his cousin Muggs has taken over and has set up a website to make more people aware. If you have time, we would appreciate you guys checking out www.fccancerfoundation.com.
