Yeah, we were going to wait and let everyone know so people wouldn't freak if it hadn't gotten here yet, but that is a better idea.

Once the mail arrives tomorrow (Monday) we will directly email those folks whose hard copies we have received.

We did get yours, by the way.

I too am an artist, grime. I am a fine artist swimming in a sea of criticism while a huge ship of people who are supposedly better than me floats by. I agree that any form of art or work for that matter should be subject to constructive criticism and not "vapid high-fiving" as you call it. I am constantly dealing with critiques and criticisms from my peers in the artist community. I constantly need to explain the decisions I made and defend my decisions and concepts. It's draining, exhausting and educational at the same time. However, your tone does come across a little bitter and no one is going to take your so called "constructive" criticism to heart when it isn't constructive. If you are going to be constructive, tell them what they could do to make it better...in your professional opinion. That is the best thing they can hear from a professional. It is the difference of being on that boat of superiority and either throwing a life saver or just floating by and saying "He should have known better than to use stop motion...look at him now".

hey guys,

i'd love to create a video vinyl entry, it looks like fun. unfortunately i'm stuck creating animations for other people all day at my job.

i'm not bitter or hating on anyone, i just have a lot of experience and don't really care about people's feelings. you can't, if you want to give them honest, constructive criticism. i thought i had to help after seeing so many vapid one-word responses and mindless high-fiving in your community. it's sad that people seem to prefer empty praise to a serious discussion of their work. the lack of any critical response from a creative community like this is, frankly, pathetic.
