John Boy was born. This NYC based artist blends rock/pop/goth/dance to create his "dark pop" sound. Filled with raw emotion, sexual expression, sexy darks vocals, and edgy lyrics...he shines a blinding light on loneliness, comformity, fear and confusion. Called a "new recording star" by Next Magazine, John Boy's been compared to Nine Inch Nails, Robbie Williams, Incubus and been called the male version of Madonna and P!NK. John Boy's first EP, "Space Junkie", a dance-heavy album with twisted humor but also depth, was produced by Shane Faber. It caught the ear of top NYC promoter Mark Nelson which led to a fully staged theatrical tour of the New York club scene at top venues including Limelight, Cheetah, Exit, Splash, Hush, Ohm and after-parties for Michael Jackson and Madonna (performing with Donna Delory & Niki Harris- Madonna's long time back-up singers). His new Full length cd, "Choked Not Broken" was released in August 2005 after a year long promotional tour.
