Born to Panamanian parents in Los Angeles in 1979, E. Nathaniel Dawkins (aka Aloe Blacc) first began playing trumpet in elementary school, an instrument he continued throughout high school. There he also independently released Imaginary Friends, produced by DJ Exile, with whom he would go on to form the hip-hop group Emanon. While at college at USC, though his artistic endeavors were placed behind his scholastic goals, Aloe still managed to learn how to play the guitar and the piano, and after graduating and spending some time in the corporate world, he decided to return to his first love, music. Packed at 3:30 in the afternoon and quite possibly our favorite Do-Over to date. There were some legendary performances that will forever go down in Do-Over history from the likes of <strong>Peanut Butter Wolf</strong> (who kicked off his 777 Tour @ The Do), <strong>Diplo</strong> (Hollertronix), <strong>Arabian Prince</strong> (Founding Member of NWA), <strong>Shunda K</strong> (Yo Majesty), <strong>Toph One</strong> (XLR8R), <strong>Sweet Steve</strong> (Baron Zen) & New York's very own <strong>Lloydski</strong> (Turntable Lab). It was pure Disco Boogie Electro House madness! Big big thanks to everyone that came out Sunday, especially those that witnessed the entire day's worth of events... 10 hours worth of festivities definitely earns the Gold Medal. There's not many places you can experience a lineup like that, all for free so we hope you've been enjoying this year as much as we have. <br><br /> <br><br /> With that being said, by no means are we slowing down this weekend.
