SuJu fans are killers

How far will die-hard fans go to keep their fantasies real? On June 5th, Lee Eun Ji a middle schooler who lost 40kg in 3 months committed suicide. As in most suicide cases, the exact causes are unknown, but according to friends the poor girl was tortured by Elves or SuJu fans after the picture she took with Kang In after a variety show Star King circulated online. Not only did they harassed the girl online, but these die-hard fans also found out her cell-phone number and left her horrifying message, which inevitably pushed her to the edge.

Lee Teuk returned to his radio show “Kiss the Radio” after 33 days. He’s not well enough to perform on stage, but he can host his radio show now.

Ku Hyun is recovering quickly and he’s able to walk around his hospital room with some help. According to doctors, he should be out of the hospital by July/August.

SuJu members expressed how much they loved playing computer games, especially Star Craft after performing at “2007 Blizzard World Invitational,” a concert funded by Blizzard, the makers of Star Craft.

Shin Dong will host his own music program “Music Video Mix Party” on KM cable channel.

“Twins” is a remake of Triple 8’s “Knock-out.” SuJu openly promoted the song as a remake, so there shouldn’t be a confusion about who made the song first, but there was a bit of a controversy back in 2005 about the music video. Many claimed that SuJu’s Twin’s MV was a carbon copy of Japanese Group Glay X Exile’s Scream, but that died out without causing too much trouble for SuJu and SM.

SuJu did not break up and they are not going to break up. Since they are a project group, there were rumors that they are going to disband after the first album, but that did not happen after SM realized how popular these boys were. Forming sub-groups and allowing some boys to act or model individually is just SM’s way of milking every bit out of these overworked boys.

The gorgeous Song Hye-gyo (25) is the first Korean to grace the cover of Vogue Korea (the covermodels are from the U.S. Vogue magazine). The magazine will feature a 18 page spread shot in Paris by Italian photographer, Paulo Roversi, who also shot the fabulous photos for Kim Heesun for W magazine in January. The Vogue cover is just in time for Hye-gyo’s new movie, “Hwang-jini“, which opens on June 6th.

The June issue of Vogue Korea will hit stands on the 18th.

Song Hye Kyo will start filming her movie in North Korea

Song Hye Kyo will start filming “Hwang Jen-i” in North Korea, which is about Korea’s most famous “ki-seng” or Korea’s version of Geisha. The movie was scheduled to be released beginning of this year, but the filming was delayed when North Korea announced their nuclear testing. “Hwang Jen-i” the drama staring Ha Jee Won was a huge success in Korea, raising viewer’s expectation of the movie, but I’m sure that Song Hye Kyo will meet those expectations. hope that she comes back to South Korea safely. The gorgeous Song Hye-gyo stars in the new big screen production of “Hwangjini,” which took 194 days to film, 4 years and about 10 million dollars to produce. The story follows the life of the real-life famous Korean gisaeng (the equivalent is “geisha” in Japan), Hwangini, who is in love with Nomi, played by the handsome Yu Ji-tae. This natural beauty loves Paris. Hye Kyo loves to freely stroll down Champs Elysees to shop (what else?) and visit various art galleries. She visited this romantic city for about 5 days last month to wind down after the filming of her latest movie Hwang Jin-i and she looks so happy in all her pictures. And what’s so great about them is that, unlike the France pictures, they are not touristy at all. There’s no Eiffel Tower in the background, no silly pictures with a fresh baguettes and none with Mona Lisa, but it’s probably because she already visited the romantic city about 10 times, giving her enough time to snap those touristy pics in the past.

Hye Kyo’s Paris trip was also filmed and it’ll air on Olivetv on the 25th.

who hacked into boa's personal life?

An undergraduate student majoring in information systems hacked into BoA’s cyworld mini-hompy and found discriminating pictures of her and Danny (ex-g.o.d member). Instead of sharing that picture with rest of us, this low life yet clever hacker blackmailed SM and received 35 million won (US$35,000) in return. Those pictures must be really telling if SM coughed up that much money, but their official reason was “in an attempt to catch the guy.” SM also added that he threatened to spread false rumors about BoA if they didn’t pay up.

But if BoA and Danny were in fact nothing but friends, why did SM pay him to shut him up, while Sidus IHQ didn’t even budge when they received the same threat via email requesting more money? Instead Sidus called the police immediately. Perhaps the picture does more harm to BoA than Danny? Anyhow, the good news is that this cyber-terrorist was caught yesterday and is now behind bars. I guess he wasn’t so clever after all_

Gackt Camui is a Japanese solo singer. Well, he has his guitarists and violinist and more, but he writes and sings his songs alone.
Gackt-sama used to be a part of a band named Malice Mizer, which was full of rock and scary singers. Gackt-chan had very long hair back then too. ^^
Since Malice Mizer kept on changing their members, and I think someone from there also died, and when that happened, Gackt said he has musical differences with Malice Mizer (which many notice now...)... Gackt moved on his own. Onto something that was named "Gackt Job". ^^;;

Since 1998 he's released many singles and so far, 3 full albums: Mars, Rebirth, & Moon.

Yui began writing poems in ninth grade. At the age of sixteen, by recommendation of her mother, she began studying song, songwriting, and guitar at a private music school in her native Fukuoka. Aspiring to become a professional, she carried her guitar around and sang at local places such as the seashore of Shingu, and in the middle of the rice fields of Kaminofu.

In March 2004, she sang three songs at an audition hosted by Sony Music Japan, as opposed to the audition rule that a participant could only sing two songs. All judges evaluated her with the highest score, which caused a fierce scramble among labels. BIOGRAPHY:

Our featured artiste this week is the 5-man boyband SS501. The name of the band is a combination of letters and numbers that have special meanings for the band members. The first “S” stands for the “Sun” and the “Star.” The second “S” is an abbreviation for “Singer.” The numbers 5,0 and 1 mean ‘the 5 members of the band become one.’ In other words, the name SS501 means that 5 members gathered together to become singers and later in the future, big stars in the entertainment world.

The 5 members of the group were either chosen through auditions or scouted by casting directors of the management agency. However, all the members went through fierce musical and dance trainings before they could perform together. Although the members of the band started their careers as singers, each of them will eventually challenge other genres like acting or producing music.

From the beginning, each member’s performance areas will not be limited to only singing. Hyun-joong and Jung-min are interested in acting. They are currently being trained in acting and will appear on stage or screen if they have a chance to. Hyung-joon and Young-saeng will also be performing as solo singers as well as with the band. Kyu-jong, who is very much interested in making music, will undergo musical training and eventually become a producer.

SS501 debuted in 2005 with the up-tempo song "Warning". Then they followed up with a ballad "Never Again", which made it to the top 10. They capped off an impressive year with another hit "Everything" and won almost every new artiste awards in 2005's year-end music awards ceremonies. Their accomplishments were even more impressive considering that the album they released in 2005 was only a single album with 5 songs, and 3 of the 5 songs became hits.

To follow up on their success in 2005, SS501 released another 5 songs-single album in January 2006. The title song "Snow Prince" is a mid-tempo winter song that became their first ever No. 1 song. Another up-tempo song "Fighter", written by hot songwriting duo Cho Young Soo and Ahn Young Min, also went to the top 5.

In November 2006, SS501 finally released their much antipicated first offical full album titled "S.T 01 Now". After almost a year of refining, their vocals and their chorographies have matured. However, with such high expectations, the title song of the album "Unlock" unexpectedly failed to hit the top 10. Maybe the timing of the release coincided with hit songs of heavyweights like DBSG, Sung Shi Kyung, Lee Seung Chul, ERU, etc. But fans need not to be worried, as their 2nd hit from this album "Four Chance" rebounded nicely to hit No. 1 in a lot of charts. In the meantime, SS501 also released their 1st concert DVD titled "Step Up". Fans can not only listen but also watch their live performances.

Besides singing, members of SS501 are starting to diversify into other areas of the entertainment industry. Member Kim Hyun Joong starred in the music video of ERU's mega hit "까만안경" (Black Glasses). According to ERU, they have been friends even before their debut.
