Welcome to Our Clique.

Whether you call it a clique, squad, crew, fam, posse or whatever, when you come to Remix Hotel, you're part of it. When you're trying out new gear at a Remix Hotel, it's better than any music instrument shop you've ever been in, because you have trained experts representing the gear maker right there to answer all your questions. And they're not going to ask you to apply for a 25% APR credit card.

One of the new companies we want to welcome to the Remix Hotel fold for the first time is Yamaha/Steinberg. They've got something to show everyone in New York: Steinberg Sequel. PC users: ever wish you had a program to use like Apple GarageBand? Mac users: ever wish that GarageBand was better set up for live performance? Sequel could be the answer for both of these desires. Sequel gives you near instant access to many of Steinberg's music technologies, even you don't have any special music knowledge. Everything needed to create and perform music live is included: loops, sounds, effects, instruments, a virtual mixer and other professional "under the hood" features.

A hefty 3.5 GB of built-in loops and sounds cover a huge range of today's music as well as more than 600 instantly playable instruments. Produced by top pros from the US, UK and Germany, Sequel's sound library provides inspiration for dance projects, urban beats, rock and pop songs and more.

With the Live performance mode, a Sequel song can be rearranged and remixed live and on-the-fly for performances at clubs or parties. Budding performers can also play or sing live to an existing arrangement, making Sequel an ideal software tool for performing songs live using a laptop computer.

Another highlight from Yamaha will be the Motif XS keyboard synth. It's new interactive arpeggiator engine, Phrase Factory 2.0, and real-time Loop Remix feature should have cats getting all mushy over it.

Finally, I have to report the update that Kenton, whom I was raving about earlier, had to pull out of Remix Hotel New York. Kenton, don't you know the pull-out method never works? Seriously, we hope to see Kenton at one of our other Remix Hotels this year.
