Dear Friends,

I would like to thank everyone that has seen our new DIY music video and provide feedback. Please continue to send the video link to all your
friends and family. We are extremely grateful for all your support. We love you Guam !! We promise to write back to all of you as soon as we can. It seems we are getting a lot of the same questions in the your emails so I'll try to give you the answers to the most popular.

1) Did the video really take only 7 days to make? Yes it did. Due to a late start,we had only 7 days to submit the video for Locus at Keanry Street Workshop and San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival's DO IT YOURSELF MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST. We shot the video in 2 days. 1 day to shoot the whole band playing together and another day just to shoot all of Nikki's bed room scenes;-) and 5 days to edit. Our director Matthew Abaya and assistant director Angelo Ibanez were amazing! Talk about super DIY film makers, they constantly thought outside of the box and made best of the time,money and resources we had. FYI, we were close to missing the deadline! For our next video, we're spending a little bit more time ;-)

2) Did the video cost only $500? We set a budget for $500 from the start of the project, we had a make up person that cost $50, props was $40, Matthew's parking ticket was $50, light rental was maybe $100 and we gave the tint shop where we shot the video $200 and I think we spend the rest of the money buying food ( breakfast and lunch) for the band and a crew of 4. The crew didn't really eat much,I think we ate most of the food and in true DIY spirit ,we even took home the left overs;-)

3) What is the prize for winning the diy music video contest? If our diy music video gets the most views, our director Matthew Abaya and assistant director Angelo Ibanez will be showing "Careless" at the 2009 San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival. For all you musicians out there,it's like playing SXSW or CMJ. It means a lot.

4) Is Nikki single? Come on guys !! Ask her yourself !! I heard she is but don't tell her I told you ;-)

5) Is Matthew Abaya and Angelo Ibanez available to shoot my band's video? You can google them and find tons of stuff they worked on. Here are some links you can use to get in touch with them. Ask them yourself.
