Black Kids have been nominated in two categories at this year’s UK Festival Awards. Set to take place on Oct 30 the short listed nominees are currently being decided by a public vote. Click here http://www.festivalawards.com/ to ensure Black Kids make it to the shortlist in the ‘Best Newcomer’ and ‘Anthem Of The Summer’ categories (for I’m Not Gonna Teach You Boyfriend How To Dance With You).

Black Kids have announced two shows in Japan later this year. They’ll play the SHANGRI-LA venue in Osaka on Tuesday Dec 16 and CLUB QUATTRO in Tokyo on Thursday Dec 18. Black Kids have announced they'll release a brand new single 'Look At Me (When I Rock Wichoo)' on September 8. It's the third track to be taken from their debut album 'Partie Traumatic' which NME have lauded as "the sexiest, most outrageous outright pop album of '08 so far". If you missed out on a ticket for this year's sold out Oxegen festival then here's another chance. Festival organisers are releasing a number of extra weekend camping tickets this Friday (June 20) in an attempt to combat ticket touting, so hotfoot it over to the festival website to be in with a chance of seeing Black Kids in County Kildare July 11-13.
