Wow!!! that tape brings back memories. i was a big commissioned fan back in the day and i bought the tape thinking it had the john p kee tune there is hope. i bought the wrong tape but boy was i glad. yolanda adams-mason, john p kee , fred hammond, kieth staten, lisa page, derrick brinkley, parkes stewart... what could be better? originally "will you be ready" was supposed to be on the album, but fred talked micheal brooks into putting it on the commissioned album instead.i hate that i cant find this album or tape anywhere!!! its like the winans live at carnegie hall. if you didnt get it when it came out you could forget it. i used to sing "soon" with a group in washington dc. i also used to sing "when you pray". so that album will always be special to me. i hope i can find it one day.

The others are nice, but honestly i hated the last one they did.

I love Thee Ensemble because the songs are based on scripture from the Bible. My favorites are "Connected", "Go Right or Get Left" and "The Battle."

Yes, I remember them well. They actually made more than 2 albums but their very first one recorded in 1988 is the best one, and is also the one that's hard to find. I have that one transferred to cd and listen to for John P. Kee's "Down On My Knees". There's another song on there where I think either John P. Kee or Fred Hammond is leading can't think of the song's title but James Moss covered it on Greater Emmanual's album, "The Sun Will Shine" ... I think the title is "Jesus Is Coming Back" or something like that.
