drea, first and foremost. that comment was not directed towards you. secondly. the comment i left on your poster wasn't negative at all. i was simply stating that it seemed suspicious that everyone was leaving comments on your posters, and the same people were going around talking shit to everyone else. you are only 18 years old. i know that age doesn't really and shouldn't really play an issue, but i can speak for myself, and for roy and say we have both completed higher levels of education in design. once again. (and for the LAST TIME) there is NOTING wrong with using an image as a reference. this is how people learn to draw in the first place. you look at an object. you replicate it using pencil and paper. this is in no way illegal. now. if he had used a piece that looked EXACTLY like the skull that was drawn, then i could understand. but that's not the case.

and as far as one of your friends saying i did the same thing, that's obviously not the case as well. i feel silly even responding to this considering the people who are causing the drama have no bearing on this contest at all.

i would just like to ask that you ask your friends to stop harassing the other contestants. they can support you all they want, but that's no way to go about winning. not to mention that you boyfriend is also sending me unnecessary and threatening messages on this site. this is not why i joined. i don't appreciate it. and as for my being a real person or not? lol. YES, BONER. YES. THIS WHOLE CONTEST IS A CONSPIRACY SO YOUR GIRLFRIEND WON'T WIN. YOU FIGURED US OUT, HUH.

drea, you can also get grants and scholarships to pay for art school. it isn't that hard to do. i did the same thing.

and once again. i would like to state that i never said anything negative about you, or your artwork. but if you would like an honest critique on your work, i'd be more than happy to give you one. artist to artist. nothing more.

i agree with half of what carl has said. i had posted a comment on that drea dimassa's "poster" with nothing but mature comments on how i believe this contest started out. but of course, my comment was deleted because she didn't like what i had to say -- i guess it was because i wasn't humping her poster like everyone else was.

now it's nothing but a pissing contest to see how many of her friends and family members can diss other people's poster entries and artistic integrity.

i actually have no idea who the "nick" character is, but i agree that there have been people to soley join the site to bash and berate other people's work. i know roy worked hard on the piece he entered -- the proof and evidence is there. using an image as reference is something we are taught in the early stages of college, and there's been nothing wrong with that.

not to mention. i believe this contest should be decided on the maturity, and talent of the artist, not by the amount of page views and/or friends&family other contestants can sucker in to joining the site.

yes. i requested that people sign up to the site and vote/comment on my poster, but i did not once tell them to go around bashing every one else's work.

please, please just see through all this bullshit and pick the best designed -- not the most hyped.

-michelle.

There is a lot of competing going on here within this group, within this contest, and that's great. That's what Contests are all about. Ultimately imeem will choose a winner and it will be over.
But what is up with all of this bickering!
This dude "Nick" has no friends on imeem. He doesn't exist. He has never uploaded any content and there is barely a description (aside from the picture he posted, which is the only why people are reacting to his comments).
Reality is one of the contestants probably created "Nick" to make themselves look better. It's not surprising that someone would do this (it's pretty obvious actually), but it takes away from the integrity of the contest.

People who create art struggle to express their emotions on paper for all to see. Let's be careful not to take that away from anybody who is brave enough to post something that they spent time coming up with.
I would have liked to have critiqued some of the art on this profile but couldn't bring myself to do it. Scrolling through the comments left by these people just goes to show, you can't judge art by the number of comments, or the number of profile views, or by the number of friends someone has. The proof is in the pudding. What happen to that network of artists this place used to be only a few months ago.

Wake up imeem.
This is a game created to boost traffic, promote product and show off how dope we are.
These Motherfucking People Are Trifling!!
None of these people deserve to win this shit.
