What's on your playlist?

Playlist your videos!

By playlisting, you not only have a really nice playlist of your content to spread around, you also help the Related Videos that show up be more relevant. Playlist all the webisodes in a series, if applicable, or all the videos you have by genre. Be creative! And remember to tag your playlists as well.

To get started making one, either navigates to a specific video and click the "Playlist" link directly underneath, or from you dashboard click on the "Create" link on the dark grey navigation bar.

Let me know if you have any questions.

~ Rosa

Head over to http://www.tubemogul.com to learn more about their service and how to use it to distribute your videos not just to imeem but other fine video services, as well.

Video Titling

An important thing to remember is that whatever you enter for the author will show up in the title of your video.

So if I make a Smart Water commercial (which I have, ti's the best!) and title it "Smart Water is The Best!" and enter the author as Rosa, the title above the video shows up as "Smart Water is the Best by Rosa". Entering the author in the actual title AND entering it in the author field ill make the author show up twice.

"Smart Water is the Best by Rosa" with an author of Rosa will show up above the video as "Smart Water is the Best by Rosa by Rosa".

You absolutely can enter the author into the title if you want to, just remeber that if you are going to do that then to leave the author field blank. And vice versa.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Tagging your videos

Tagging is important. It helps people find your videos. You can tag a video t the same time you upload it but filling out the "tag" field. It'll gbe right there with Title, author and description. By default, whatever genre you choose for your video will become a tag.

You can also tag your video after it has been uploaded. Simply navigate to the video and click on the "Tags" tab underneath. It'll be the last tab between the video and the box for comments.

A few things to remember:
1. You can tag as much as you want, but only 10 tags from you will show up at any given time.
2. A space between words will cause those to become two different tags. Even with quotations. So if you want to tag something with "Los Angeles" it'll show up as two tags - Los and Angeles. I would advise any thing that isn't one word to be merged to make one word. So "Los Angeles" should be typed in as "losangeles".
3. Any user can tag your content, and again, only 10 tags from them will show up at any given time. Which is why it is possible to have more than 10 tags showing even though they aren't all from you.
4. Remember to tag with your imeem name!

If you have any questions please let me know. Either shoot me an email or in this post. If you have questions, chances are others do too.

Have a great weekend!

xo,
Rosa
