Elmo Hassell

Services will be held Friday for Elmo Hassell, 82, who died Nov. 12, 2007.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. at Turnbull's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Western Cemetery No. 1.

He is survived by his daughters, Iris Hassell-Allen and Mavis Hassell-Davis; sister, Eradra Hassell; brother, Rupert Hassell; grandsons, Eric Davis, Larry Davis and Kalvin Hassell; granddaughters, Gerri Tanes, Fazer Johnson and Mavis Davis; nieces, Edith Zimmerman, Adlin Hawkins, Magarita Somme, Eleanor Robles, Anna Hassell, Lucina Ellison, Shirley Richards, Alicia Stout, Linda Diaz, Angela Ramos-Michael, Joyce Blyden and Velma Ottley; nephews, Lorenzo Diaz, Alfredo Josiah(my father), Angel Josiah, Iva Abraham and Aubrey Ottley; and sons-in-law, Jerome Davis and Rupert Allen.

Arrangements are by Turnbull's Funeral Home.

He always walked along Julian Jackson Hwy. Me and my father always said hey and talked when we had time. I wanted to see him before he passed. He was a cool dude, funny, and always on the move.
